Our Optical Components

All our Colour Glass Filters are made from Schott Glass & Hoya Glass Materials.
We offer a complete range of colour glass filters for the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared spectral regions. Our services offer manufactured filters for use in a variety of applications ranging from scientific and analytical instruments to Astro-optics and photography. Filters can be supplied as round, square, and rectangular as standard, also custom-made sizes for special requirements. Heat absorbing filters give a high transmittance in the visible region and good absorption of heat infrared rays, making these filters highly effective for a variety of illumination equipment. Laminated combination filters for any spectral region can be offered to achieve a certain wavelength required. Spectral transmittance curves for all filters can be supplied on request.

- The most common types of glasses used for optical applications are Crown and Flint glasses, based on their optical densities.
- Flint Glasses containing lead provide high indices of refraction (1.75 / 1.80nd).
- Crown glasses have indices of refraction 1.5 / 1.6nd.
- We offer a wide range of optical glass types from Borosilicate, Crown glass, Corning glass, to high refractive Flint glasses.
- Standard optical Crown glass, BK7, B270 are stock materials, suitable for many applications and widely used in various optical components due to their good optical performance.

- We can offer filters mounted in black anodised screw-in holders with retaining rings to fit most standard applications: 1.25”, 2” & 58mm diameters.
- Filter holders can be laser printed or transfer printed to meet customer specifications, including filter details and logos.
- Standard filter holders sold without filters are also available.
- Cuvettes for spectrophotometers are available in black anodised material, with a standard size of 12.5mm x 12.5mm x 45mm external.
- Custom-sized holders and cuvettes can be manufactured based on individual requirements.
- Most holders and mounts are made from black anodised aluminium, but we also offer plastic mounts from black asitol material where appropriate.

- We offer a large range of Dichroic colour filters, giving the option to transmit certain regions of the visible spectrum and reflect others.
- Dielectric filters are coated filters and are practically absorbent-free.
- Temperature range using various substrate materials is 150 / 450°C.
Hot Mirror / Heat Reflection Filter:
- These filters provide excellent transmission in the visible region but reflect IR and block UV from light sources.
Cold Mirror / Heat Transmission Filter:
- Works in contrast to the hot mirror, reflecting visible light and transmitting IR.
IR Transmission Filter:
- Transmits IR wavelengths while blocking visible light at 400nm / 700nm.
IR Cut-off Filter:
- Transmits visible light while blocking IR at 700nm.
UV Transmission Filter:
